Summary:

The Wednesbury to Brierley Hill Metro Line is an 11km extension from Metro Line One. This will run largely along an existing disused railway, a part of the previous South Staffs Line. It will connect a large area of the Black Country into the West Midlands Metropolitan Rail and Rapid Transit Network, therefore improving public transport accessibility. The line will serve Dudley town centre and Merry Hill shopping centre, terminating at Brierley Hill with plans for up to 17 stops in between. Future development of the Dudley Port Integrated Hub will act as a key stop for both Dudley and Sandwell residents, promoting multi-modal travel connectivity. The proposed high-quality Dudley Interchange will replace the existing bus station and integrate the local bus network with the Metro line and stop at Dudley town centre.
