The A461 is a key corridor that spans Dudley, Sandwell and Walsall Boroughs. It is temporarily broken by a section of the A41. Together, these two roads form the Black Country Corridor. The Black Country Corridor is a key route for residents across the Black Country due to its connectivity to various large centres, such as Brierley Hill, Dudley, Wednesbury and Walsall. The improvements along this corridor aim to relieve congestion, provide better infrastructure for walking and cycling, and improve road safety and journey times for public transport.
